Wendy “Fred” Hamilton is a professional fundraiser, writer and wannabe stand-up comedian. She holds a BA in theatre from Coe College and an MFA in arts management Wayne State University. Her family’s story has been featured in Autism Asperger’s Digest and the book, “Different, Not Less” by Dr. Temple Grandin. Wendy has presented and moderated at state and national autism conferences including Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence, the Autism Society of America National Conference and the Nebraska State Autism Spectrum Disorders Conference. In 2013, the Omaha Jaycees named her to the Ten Outstanding Young Omahans list.
Wendy currently serves as the vice president of the Autism Society of Nebraska and is a member of the Steering Committee of the Women’s Fund of Omaha’s CIRCLES. She is a member of the Omaha Summer Arts Festival Board of Directors and the Ballet Nebraska Guild. Wendy thinks she is hilarious and is available for mediocre impersonations and ridiculous dance moves.
