Sheila Ireland is a licensed architect, LEED accredited professional, and Senior Associate at LEO A DALY, an Omaha-based architecture and engineering firm. She has more than 15 years of experience as a design and project architect, combined with 10 years in retail visual merchandising and print and television advertising production.
Ireland’s favorite jobs are renovation projects that permit her to tell the owner’s story through the design and to be involved in all aspects of construction document preparation. Most recently she has served as project architect and designer on the renovations of Mercy Hall at College of Saint Mary and KETV’s 7 Burlington Station.
Ireland holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from Creighton University.
In this talk, Ireland compares buildings and cities to books and libraries with one stark difference.
