Have you ever wondered what it would be like to bring together voices from around the world, all in different countries and time zones, in real time? One conductor has accomplished this, bringing together people from around the world. Through his work, we can see that singing has the power to unite people across all kinds of boundaries. This time, we will be exploring the boundaries between the real and the digital world through music.
For our second act, we will have singers from a local shape-note singing group share their experiences with us. Shape-note singings are not performances. They are participatory folk art: truly, music that comes from the people.
