TEDxOmaha Adventures in May are Getting to Grips with Creating Exhibits: The World of ‘What if’.
Explorers get up early when they are on the Adventure trail as time is a precious commodity. Saturday May 19th we will be finding out that there is more to Omaha Children’s Museum than meets the eye. This is an adventure for the techies, scientists, engineers, designers, artists and the makers in us, who want to know how things work, get put together and what goes into the exhibit ideation and creation process. Who gets to do that for a living? For those who came with us on the amazing Durham Museum Adventure, you will recognize Adam Van Osdel who will be our host for the morning. Adam will take us behind the public space into his world – where play gets serious. We follow him through the design process and what goes into not just building the exhibitions, but creating single exhibits from scratch. Like building a tornado simulator or a brain, it’s just child’s play!
This is going to be an early morning start so we can be there for an hour before the museum opens, and get a sneak peak at the exhibition that will open the following week.
